BloodFire Says Hello

August 11th, 2010

Today I’d like to treat you music lovers to a quick interview I did with a dubstep producer coming out of Belgium of all places! BloodFire is a 17 year old, still studying at high school, but from the quality of his productions, he is going to go a long way!

Welcome BloodFire, good to get young aspiring producers on here. What got you onto producing dubstep?

I first started making crappy beats, just for the fun of it. Later down the track I really got into dubstep and started producing at 140bpm. Never thought it would grow to something big like this.

Is it hard trying to break into the dubstep scene from outside of the UK?

No, not really actually. The Belgian dubstep scene is quite big and it’s growing day by day. I also got a lot of support from fellow producers like Airvalue & Vyron (Point.Blank). For me it basically all started when Vyron did the remix of Psycho Gorilla.

That is a great remix indeed. Where do you see yourself in the next 2 years?

I have no idea actually. I’m gonna focus on producing tracks a lot more. I also have gigs coming up at some of the leading dubstep events in Belgium. I hope I can get my name out there.

Don’t worry, if you play your own tunes, you’ll get hype. When do you think we’ll see an EP release from you?

My debut EP is out soon on Krypled Brain Records!

Thanks to BloodFire for taking the time to tell us a bit about himself! Check out his SoundCloud, it’s full of huge dub tracks from the man himself as well as some grimey mixes.

He was kind enough to give us a preview of one of his biggest tracks soon to be released! This is huge!
